Alex and AI
Alex prototypes directly in code to close the gap between design and reality. He builds native iOS apps, mini productivity tools, and experimental features that allow ideas to be tested and validated quickly without waiting on full engineering cycles.
Using tools like Cursor, Claude Code, and Figma MCP, Alex generates design variants, explores interaction patterns, and rapidly tests product directions. His workflow often starts in LLMs to clarify intent and edge cases, then moves into code to prototype flows and behaviors before refining craft and systems in Figma.
AI has become a creative partner in Alex’s process — helping him think through problems, prototype faster, and turn ideas into working experiences.
In a world of noise, bring a little calm to your day with fidgy: tacticle puzzles and mini games. Now live in Apple's App Store.
Alex is currently designing and engineering growth optimization experiments for GolfForever. He translates his own Figma designs directly into working product using Claude Code (and MCP), enabling the team to launch A/B tests and validate ideas quickly with minimal engineering lift. This clip above is a working, live webpage Alex coded with AI, complete w/ animations.
Skylab -- a name tied to his freelance company Skyconcepts -- was built soley in Cursor AI to solve for 4 specific, personal use cases (so far): Color palette generatation, Accessibilty scoring, SEO review, and image/video compression. He's building mini apps to work for him, by him, and it's diminishing his reliance on 3rd party software to work fast and efficiently.
A longtime personal need now solved. Lottiefiles wants $20 per month, so I built a tool directly in Figma that allows me to select frames and export an animation, while supporting Smart Animate. Files can be downloaded in Lottie or animated SVG formats - exactly what I and thousands of other designers need to hand off animations to engineers.
Alex built a solution to a problem him and his friends have had for years: sharing music to each other when everyone is using different music streaming platforms. Your friend shares a Spotify track to you but you have Apple Music. You're trying to share a song to another friend that uses Youtube Music. Paste the link into linkler and get respective links or share the whole page.
Alex volunteered for 3 months to design the PEAK6 AI team's new software: R2G2 -- an agentic, AI platform used across all PEAK6 companies. The project included a conversational interface with multi-modal support, progressive rendering, multiple data source support, custom assistants and sub assistants, and more.
Alex led design and strategy for Zogo Finance's first push of AI into its consumer app of 3M users. An AI-powered news summarization service curates the top finance stories daily, summarizes the articles into key takeaways, and delivers to Zogo members twice a day.
